Intro piece - In the beginning we Breathe

This is a 1 of 1 Intro piece to Book 0 - Breathe. 

The journey of this piece was a digitally hand written artwork, printed onto lux deadstock* polyester satin. 

In the beginning we breathe is intended as a mantra or meditation, ushering us into this unfolding experience we call life. A reminder of our connectedness and of centring ourselves in our bodies. 

*Fabric note: Saevā's saris are made using exclusively deadstock fabric as a way of giving beautiful, pre-existing textile and longer life in your hands and homes. 

This unused fabric is sourced across the fashion and textile industry, including from designers, fashion houses and clothin manufacturers.

Whilst all care is given to the creation of each Sari, the journey these textiles have been on means that there will occasionally be small pulls or marks on the fabric that cannot be removed, changed or incorporated into the design. 

At Saevā we think of these as the beauty marks of choosing more sustainable options in caretaking and stewardship of our Earth.
